Rev Ellen Loudon with Seddon's RLO Graeme Black

A new Place for the Perfect Cuppa

Visitors to St Johns Chrysostom Church on Queens Road in Liverpool will now be able to enjoy a perfect cuppa brewed in brand new surroundings thanks to construction company Seddon who have donated and fitted a new kitchen.

Seddon approached Reverend Ellen Loudon with an offer to provide and fit a new kitchen in the community hall as a thank you for the Church’s hospitality.  The Church had allowed Seddon to use the hall as the venue for an open day which was held to inform residents about the work that is currently taking place in their homes on behalf of Liverpool Mutual Homes.

Guests who attended the event included representatives from LMH and Seddon and Reverend Ellen Loudon, who performed the official ribbon cutting ceremony commented: “We are hugely grateful for the donation Seddon has made and for all the work they have carried out to fit the kitchen.  They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home which is something that can also be said of our church hall so it is great to have this brand new facility which will be used on an almost daily basis.”

The new kitchen at St Johns Chrysostom Church is the second such project Seddon has completed in the Merseyside region, having supplied and fitted another new kitchen at the Albion Community Centre.

Said Dave Bond, Seddon’s Project Manager: “Places such as St John’s Chrysostom Church Hall and Albion Community Centre are often at the heart of the community but often have very little funding.  It is extremely rewarding to be able to help improve their facilities by providing and fitting these new kitchens.”

Seddon are working with Liverpool Mutual Homes on home improvements in the North West area which incorporate kitchen and bathroom improvements to over 1000 homes.
