Seddon Increases Housing Portfolio
North West based construction company, Seddon, has added to its impressive portfolio with the announcement of a further £10million worth of work in the housing sector.
The impressive workload comprises three projects for the Chester & District Housing Trust, providing a total of 103 apartments for the over 55s on separate sites within Chester.
Says Alan Taylor, Head of New Build Affordable Housing at Seddon: “We have an experienced housing team which has an inherent understanding of clients’ needs within this sector. Complimenting this we feel open, approachable and friendly interaction with the local community and a focus on the employment of local labour and supply chain is key and will be fundamental in the successful delivery of the contracts with Chester & District Housing Trust.”
Each of the three design and build projects is being constructed to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, incorporating timber framework and a high level of insulation together with communal boilers and rain water harvesting.
Danielle Harrison, Senior Development Officer from Chester & District Housing Trust comments: “We are looking forward to working with Seddon on these three projects. The new apartments will provide the new residents with high quality homes in a safe and secure environment which we are confident will be finished to a very high standard.”
